Poster Handling
Always handle your Rare Dead posters with cotton or nitrile gloves, or ensure your hands are impeccably clean. Protect your investment from dirt, oil, and fingerprints to maintain its value.
Poster Care Reccomendations
If you're looking to display your poster, we recommend framing it right away to protect it from any damage. Additionally, if your poster is of significant value, we suggest professional grading services like CGC Posters provide a professional grading system for concert posters, adding to their authenticity and potential value.
Flat Storage Poster Care
Opt for flat-file cabinets or art portfolios for your Rare Dead posters. Avoid tube storage to prevent ink and paper damage. Smaller posters can be stored in presentation binders, but larger Rare Dead prints need more space.
Protective Storage Sleeves
Invest in Mylar Sleeves: Ideal for safeguarding your posters against environmental damages. Mylar is the gold standard in art preservation. For double protection, store your Rare Dead poster in a mylar sleeve and then place it in a flat storage solution.
Where to Hang Your Poster
Choosing the perfect environment for your poster is important. Keep your collection away from smoke sources like kitchens and cigarettes. A dust-free environment is crucial. Consider an air purifier to protect your Rare Dead posters. Maintain a stable temperature (around 65°F) and shield your posters from UV light to prevent fading and paper degradation.
Framing Reccomendations
Professional framing is recommended. For archival framing, choose a professional familiar with valuable collections like Rare Dead. If you want to do your own DIY framing, use acid-free materials. Backboards are recommended to avoid direct contact with the frame. Avoid standard glass; plexiglass is a safer, UV-resistant option.
