Umphrey's McGee is an American jam band that emerged from the vibrant music scene of South Bend, Indiana, in 1997. The band's core members, Brendan Bayliss (vocals, guitar), Jake Cinninger (guitar, vocals), Joel Cummins (keyboards, vocals), Ryan Stasik (bass), and Kris Myers (drums), met while attending the University of Notre Dame. They initially performed as two separate bands, Tashi Station and Stomper Bob, before merging to form Umphrey's McGee.
